Grid Computing

Grid computing is a method for applying large numbers of resources, usually large amounts of processing capacity, to a single task, by applying resources from more than one system. A grid is a collection of resources that’s coordinated to enable the resources to solve a common problem. A computing grid harnesses multiple computers from several owners to run one very large application problem.
